The Yamaha FZ16 , also called Yamaha Byson in Indonesia, is a standard motorcycle made by Yamaha since 2008. FZ16 is modeled after the larger FZ1 with reduced engine capacity. FZ16 is mainly sold in India, and other markets such as Indonesia, Colombia and Argentina.
In 2014, a fuel injection version, FZ FI, goes on sale in India. The engine shift is reduced to 149 cc (9.1 cuÃ, in) from 153Ã, cc (9.3 cuÃ, in), resulting in less power and torque than the carburetor version, but lower fuel consumption.
In 2015 Byson FI started selling in Indonesia. According to Yamaha, this bike has 91 different components than those sold in India.
In 2017 Yamaha launched FZ25, 250 cc version of FZ. It also has an air-cooled engine, two valves, and fuel injected. Yamaha says the FZ25 is intended for existing Yamaha owners. MotorBeam tested the FZ25 and found it to offer smooth performance with excellent engine improvements.
