NACCO Industries Inc. is a US-traded holding company headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, involved in coal mining, small industry and specialized retail industries. Its subsidiaries include North American Coal Corporations, Hamilton Beach Brands, and Kitchen Collections.

History
NACCO Industries originated in 1913 with the merger of Cleveland and the Western Coal Company. The name was changed to The N orth A merican C oal Co ration (NACCO) in 1925, and the company operated exclusively in the coal industry until the acquisition of Yale Material Handling Corporation in 1985. This was followed in 1986 by the creation of a holding company under the name NACCO Industries, Inc. NACCO Industries expanded into household appliances by purchasing Proctor Silex in 1988 and Hamilton Beach in 1990, and expanded its presence in the material handling industry by adding Hyster Company in 1989. Yale Material Handling Corporation and Hyster Company combined to form NACCO Materials Handling Group , separated in 2012.
